Even if they did have a misunderstanding, he could have gone to see her to clear it up or send a messenger or a letter. He didn't tho and then she died, so there's nothing to be done about it... #-.-)
My issue is that more than likely the author will play up this misunderstanding in their current life for freaking ever. Just dragging it out to somehow make dramatic tension and a plot of something that could be cleared up rather easily......its an annoying way to write a story. ( ̄ε(# ̄)Σ
