I think it's up to the person who is playing the game that should decide whether or not they should spend their money on it. I personally like to think back of the game and remember the happy time I had while playing it and being in the fandom of it. I think it's not wasted money because it's a hobby you like (=・ω・=)
But of course if you feel that you have wasted your money on a game that's a valid feeling you can have.
i think it depends on the person? i spent money on in-game items whenever i play games, and i don't regret anything eventhough in the end the items became obsolete lmao. i love indulging myself through games because it makes me happyヾ(❀╹◡╹)ﾉ~
Ive played games were i spent much too.
But now theyre all cancelled. Now that years have passed i still remember how fun it was but i still feel regret over spending that money because i now know the struggle of living alone where every penny counts. Even if my wage is just right, i still think "had i saved the money ive spent on games, i could have bought myself some groceries for the week and have my extras for next week!"
Nowadays i dun really have time for online games... huhuhu im trapped in adult life. Everything is just work work work. ╥﹏╥

And THATS WHY YOU DONT WASTE REAL MONEY ON GAMES! someday youll get bored or the game will shut down and youll be looking back at the $$$$$$ you spent, and wished you have had spent them in real life instead!
