I think it was more he used her as the transport knowing she'd never be able to kill him so the last resort was to make it if he made contact like he did they'd be transported. Probably going where the rest of his old classmates went o.o

I don't think he was trying to destroy him, I think he was testing him, because I think his classmates are going to be defeated and he will be asked to defeat the demon king. Well that's my theory anyways.
