for my own closure, i like to think that sangwoo's spirit came back to lure bum to his death, being as bum promised to take his life if something were to happen to sangwoo.
i'm not sure if that's what the ending is supposed to mean, but it would make sense. especially since we've already seen that sangwoo's mother's spirit also hangs around the house (the shoe explanation) to torment him.
wait i still dont get the ending tho- what was koogi tryna say when we were suppose to read the last chapter? was bum just delusional because he misses sangwoo?
