Non, the autor wants to say he loves him because in the final chapter the grand ma in the hospital say at bum Sangwoo always call for him. So i think even if he was a psychopats he really fall in love to him. If he just loved Bum because he imagine bum was his mom he called mom at the hospital, not bum.
