I think it would be WAAAAY more interesting to see him fight back then to see him grow obsessed over his abuser. It's so unnatural and unrealistic. I mean, they're gonna end up together anyways, so why not make it a Stockholm situation? Can't live with him can't live without him? But instead ..this grown ass man is crying instead of putting up his dukes. Pathetic
Haha no hate here, but I've experienced people in real life that experience abuse. There's a lot more going on in their life and psyche for them to react that way. I lot of abuse victims might 'take' the abuse for a dozen reasons. I'm glad you feel like you would fight back in the situation, but many people would freeze. Men especially won't seek help, because often they feel emasculated. I actually really feel for the dude, but that's just my two cent :)
I feel like I would fight back because i DID fight back. Like i said, the MC literally had the knife in his hand and didn't do a single thing. It builds and bites at your psyche when you're being raped over and over again. Eventually, you're gonna fight back after breaking. In fact, that's what happens in MOST abuse situations. It happens so much in fact that there's shows that are made entirely on that concept
I'm glad you fought back! That is a very powerful thing that you did, and I respect you a lot for getting here. Unfortunately the reality of a lot of people is that they don't fight back. It's one of the three main reactions to stress and danger, freeze. I encounter a lot of trauma victims in my work. It can be really sad, because it becomes a spiral of low self confidence, to ideas of 'well I deserve this' or 'if I resist, it can be worse.' It is very difficult to break that thinking. I would say tv likes the idea of people fighting back, but reality has a lot of people stuck in the cycle of abuse. You get a lot of problems from it like, Battered Women Syndrome. There's also the issue with Japan and how they treat their cases of stalking and abuse towards women. Some of the stories really are horrific, and resources are almost non-existent for men.
But that really is amazing that you got out of your situation with your own power! It's not easy to do, so I respect you a lot for that. I can definitely see why you would be frustrated with the MC, but I hope that you might consider some people might have other challenges to overcome.

People are gonna hate me for saying this but the MC is annoying and i agree with the other stalker character. I hate him too because he just stood there and let this man rape him and ruin his life over and over again. He literally had the knife in his hand and he didn't fight back not ONCE. NOT A SINGLE TIME. If it were me....
In fact i HAVE been put in a situation where it was "be raped or almost kill someone"...let me just say I would rather DIE before I let someone violate me the way his stalker violated him.

Characters who just write off going to the coppers are so annoying. Ok. Sure MAYBE just MAYBE they won't believe you. But how would you know that? Nowadays cops and police men and women take stalking cases VERY seriously as it can result in abduction.
Ugh. It makes me so mad how he's going about this. Oh, so your stalker, who raped you over and over again is moving on, so time to stalk him back?? What kind of stupid dumb bullshit.....
