That's the EXACT thing that I thought of when I read the first two chapters, you would think they would put their daughter interest first ABOVE their reputation. Stuff like that pisses me off, I kind of want her family to get some sort punishment or at least some sort of repentance for what they all put her through.
Well can’t blame them too much. Kyle is of royalty. And this being set in the time that it was set in, these actions seems quite reasonable. Besides we don’t know how much power her family has too. What if she’s the only powerful mage in her family? N if the king was a douche bag and ordered her family to be killed off because she did one little thing wrong to dirtbag Kyle? She couldn’t possibly protect them all. Their reputation helps them look favorably in the emperors’s. Which is needed at all cost. Why? Cuz her family is Duke level. Which means they have royal blood flowing in them too. So if they act out a little too much it could be seen as an act of rebellion towards the current reign. Which gives an other excuse to kill off her family. Now if they were all super strong AND the king wasn’t a douche bag it would be terribly awful of her family to let Kyle get away with all that abuse. The AND part of the king not being a douche bag is important as we have all seen in Shield Hero ( for those of u who hasn’t please go read it). If the supreme ruler is like in shield hero, they’ll get their punishment.

Yeah that is one thing to consider not only the times, but also the fact he is ROYALTY and during those times if you were a royal you literally could get away with just about anything, it sucks but unfortunately that IS how those times worked.
I have also seen the shield hero so I know what you are getting at with a douchebag king, (TOTALLY rooting for Season 2 by the way!) if it DOES turn out the King is not a douche and her family DID have an alternative solution I swear I am going to find myself a world teleport portal, or a magical wardrobe or closet and go into the story and give them all a firm talking to and help the FMC to kick some ass!(๑•ㅂ•)و✧
P.S could tell me the list of hierarchy ranks royals had back then and what duties they typically had, I tried looking for info on it on the internet but all I got was very LITTLE info all it told was that it was a noble rank in Europe. （/TДT)/

I just gotta say, fuck her family! Okay I like her brother, but he's just as guilty. For 10 years they have ignored the fact that the second prince has been abusing her, and as soon as she's had enough and defends herself they cry about their fucking reputation. What about the physical, mental, and emotional abuse of their daughter/sister?! At least as soon as the first prince found out exactly the extent of the abuse he tried to protect her, but her family just told her to put up with it! So fuck those fuckers!
