well, Jing totally pushed his Uncle to commit suicide to get away from Jing's possessiveness. Home Sweet Alabama! And he orders his wife the empress to help kidnap men like the bandit to rape. And weirdly, she listens to his orders. And then after his Uncle dies, Jing settles on Lu Kang. He didnt even like have prior feelings. He just settled on Lu Kang cos his first crush commited suicide to Yeet the fuck away from the fucked up Jing. Jing only realises that Lu Kang was fuckable when he drove Lu Kang out after torturing him and cutting him with a knife ( i think its a pin of some sort) and other abusive horrifying shit. But all is forgive at the end cos Jing cried abit at the end?
Oh, and he never stops impregnating new consorts in the later chapters and tells Lu Kang to deal with it cos he's the emperor.
What a trainwreck this novel was.

Gotta agree that many of Chinese light novels are kinda... trashy. It’s rare to find a good one.
The novels are really good. I highly recommend everyone to read that. The comic version is pretty, but many details were left out and it may feel quite rushed. In the novel you can see those two slowly fell for each other, here the romance is kinda forced. Last book is volume 29, I believe, and it’s incomplete.
