He x Mo relationship examination

Ok guys, I had to reread this series, from the beginning to try to see where this He Tain is an abuser thing was coming from.

What I found out is, He Tain and Mo's relationship began with Mo sending XiXi to the hospital after bashing him upside the head with a rock. An important note on this, is at the time, He was friend JainYi and XiXi. He was also possibly interested in Jain, and backed off, because he caught on to how JainYi felt about XiXi.

With all that in mind, I continued my read.

He later meets Mo on the street, and Doesn't start anything with him. In fact, it was the other way around. Mo tried to talk smack, and He didn't put up with it.

They were not friends, nor love interests at the time. Just one guy who smacked the other dudes friend on the head with a rock.

I continued reading, to find that most every instance wherein Mo got hit, was due to him picking a fight.

One of the threats was from an instance of Mo following He, and it having to do with He's shady brother. The threat was, in basic terms, a "do not talk about what you just saw." When He noticed that he had scared Mo, he backed off, and we got one of our little funny relief panels.

They were kinda frenemies during this period. An I don't really like you, but I'm not going to fight being around you anymore type of situation.

Chapter 175 is where our path starts to change! In 175, He Tain decided to make fun of Mo's terror of the indirect kiss, by kissing him. With tongue. This move is a bully move. It is not ok.

However, this was just him smashing their mouths together to make a joke. In his mind, it was just that. He was probably going to start laughing, until he noticed that Mo was not laughing.

And in the few frames following, my peeps, is where we have a confirmation of He Tain's personality, and whether or not he is abusive

An abuser would either continue their behavior or if close enough to their victim, start the apologizing cycle. He Tain did neither, and asked Mo, with genuine concern, if Mo found him that disgusting, after Mo called him a sick pervert. Mo said yes.

He Tain did not follow after him, in an attempt to change his mind. He Tain did not berate Mo for saying he was disgusting. He Tain did not continue kissing Mo.

He let Mo leave, and didn't even attempt to stop him. This is not the actions of an abuser.

Remember, that these are young men, and the frontal lobe of a males brain isn't complete until they are between 26-30 years old. For women, is is younger, because we mature faster. This means that more actions are taken without lots of thought being put in. That's why teens aren't tried as adults.

Now, I am fairly certain that their relationship does change from this point onwards. I had to pause to write down my thoughts, and will make another post after rereading the rest.

As of this moment, He Tain, as being judged by myself, a victim of child abuse and more, is not an abuser.

ABUSER DON'T CARE ABOUT THEIR VICTIMS AND ONLY SEEK CONTROL!

Although He Tian may not be an abuser, it doesn't mean how he treats Mo is correct.

In the beginning Mo was treated like how he was behaving towards He Tain's friends. It is a totally normal way for most people to act when their friends are in danger. Doesn't make it right, but I will keep up the read and continue assessing their relationship.
