I don't think so because that's a very important part. The japanese wants to eliminate the strong hunters of Korea that's why they betrayed them and in the long run they were the ones being slayed.

It might mess up the storyline, but it'll be less xenophobic. The author's dislike for Japan was VERY noticeable.
