I disagree with the whole yaoi typically has sexual assault so we should just expect and accept it in yaoi narrative in your paragraph. I think people should complain and call it out more and have yaoi authors see people want variety. That said I don't think THIS Yaoi is the one to do that with when the genre of this is the type that has the abusive type. This is not a romance yaoi and it's not trying to be. The author from the start is clear with what type of characters these people are . So i dont think people should be complaining about this Yaoi when this is the type of story the author is going for
There are many Yaoi's with sexual assault, but there are also many that don't. That's why we pick our poison. Stories are made by authors at their own creative discretion. As readers, we read stories, decide if we like it or not, then move on. It's good to have your reading taste and opinion, but you should not impose it on others. Some people like sexual assault in their yaoi (lLOL kinky), but that doesn't make them any less of a person, because like I said: it's just fantasy, not real life.
If you are trying to avoid the Sexual Assault theme, then there are plenty of Yaois out there that don't have it.
Personally, I really like assertive seme x tsundere/shy uke pairing so the stolen kisses, inappropriate sexual comments etc is cute to me, but hey. That's me.

A Fantasy in which readers can indulge in it, fantasizing things they don't condone in real life. Someone commenting their dislike towards rape and abuse is not imposing their opinions on others. Their doing the same thing you are now. Most Yaois have Abusive relationships so its not picking one poison when theres not much to pick from. Also Rape and Abuse does not equal assertive. There is a lot of yaoi trying to pass as love when its covered in abuse and rape and most have an issue with that. But this yaoi is not. Its clear from the start what it is. I dont think this is the type of yaoi people should complain about abuse in when thats the type of story it is. Its not those yaoi that start light then turn dark. It's been dark from the beginning. It is a highly sexualize genre where the sexual assault theme often emerges BUT that doesn't mean we support sexual assault. This is clearly a fantastical story.
