I feel so bad for Ho’s dad, he just had Ho taken away from him from his stupid mother and forced to accept this random new guy as his new “dad”...

I can only imagine what that poor father felt, losing his child. It probably hurt him as much as it hurt Ho... I hope they reunite at some point in this story.
