From what I can understand, chapter 9 is a dream-like flashback to how the MC was betrayed since chapter 8 ended with him falling asleep.

MC looks like a girl because he changed his sex with one of his sword's magic since he didn't want anyone to know he was the hero, after all he's wanted as the "next demon lord".
