Why were you prepared to hate a manga before you started reading it? That's so closed-minded.
Because it's not my normal choice of genre, and I wasn't expecting to enjoy it. I decided to read it because it has some historical aspects, and I enjoy history.
It's not narrow minded to understand what I usually enjoy and to expect something that doesn't fit in that category to not be enjoyable to me. It's just understand my own tastes. I still don't enjoy a lot of the other mangas tht have the same type of storyline.
I was totally prepared to hate this manga...but it's an absolute masterpiece.
