as a student of psychology i'm loving this

Then explain to me how the rape victims changes from being terrified of his rapist (he freezes up, and does nothing but shake and cry) to being this strangely intelligent, calculative person. Who no longer looks at his rapist with fear. I understand he wants to hurt him, but I feel like this is ridiculous.
I don't studt psychology, but I don't think any stalker/rape victim would react this way.
