Honestly, I'm not sure now that we read the same webtoon. How can you not see it? Sean is scared of Jake and don't want to be together with him. He was begging for his life, although he doesn't even need Jake's permission to live normally.

I think Sean avoiding Jake because he is Emily's father, also because he raped him even though they were best friends. I don't know about Kyle and Sean tho, it seems like Sean doesn't even care that Kyle has a wife. That scene of them kissing when they were in high school has no context bc it was from Jake's perspective, so we don't really know what happened.
From what I see based on Sean's reaction upon meeting Kyle, learning that he has a wife, and seeing him on tv yet never look for him (which I'm sure Sean has noticed that Kyle is a celebrity) explains to me that Sean doesn't have special attachment with Kyle (even though Kyle seems to be in love with him).
But who knows, lets just wait for the story to develop lol.

Soo... Jake interfered in those two relationship back then, because he loves Sean. Sean couldn't accept him. Jake raped Sean. Now in order to "help him", he tried to rape him again and was all in all a total duche. I don't know what the matter with Kyle yet, but Jake? I hope he just disappears from Sean's life.
