I mean.. the only thing she tried to change is that unlike the original character, she's NICE? Do u expect her to be mean and work for the queen without expecting an execution? Of course she had to change at least that. She thinks that the story wouldn't change largely, cos its The Story, Words Fixed on paper. But she was acting that way cos she was Hoping,desperately Praying that it would change at least for her to not die and run away. I mean, she knows that everyone is existing and that Gracie is already existing as the female lead to take her place. If u are in her shoe, and thinks all the roles are fixed, you would feel a bit too disheartened and afraid for your life.
If she thinks or hopes she might be able to change 1 thing, why couldn't she change everything else?
I guess I just really don't understand how MCs can think like that?
Like the story is hard coded fate that will definitely happen no matter what. And the roles are completely fixed.
Like they don't even consider the fact that these might be real people with free will in a real world.
I don't think I'd think like that. I'd either think it was a weird dream, or I was hallucinating, or I was legit in a real world. And if it's a real world, then this is a real life, and I'll live it however I want to.
But maybe I'm just weird cause I don't believe in fate, or that it can't be changed.
To be fair... She's a minor character right? The story probably didn't say much about her daily life, or anything at all before the main love story plot started and she was in the way.
So she probably assumes the rest of the story, that she doesn't hear about, is going as the plot planned.
But she's still super dumb for thinking she won't change anything when she acts completely differently from the original character.
