I hope so.. I always want something for the person who has suffered in unrequited love.. I mostly want them to find someone who falls head over heels for them. But it soothes my heart that their original love finally wakes up and says 'omg, I think I always loved you'..

I agree,,, I think we're just dreaming for the reason I stated, we've watched his unrequited painful love and we want something back for him.. but he will end up with the Tiger and that will be better.
I think this is hinting that the friend likes the MC more than he realizes. He likely is also attracted to him and always has been, but has kept it so repressed he's convinced himself he only sees the MC as a friend.
I think when the MC starts to get close to Tiger-boy, the friend will start to realize his true feelings. By then it'll be too late.
