At first I really disliked him. Didn't hate him but there was a strong "you are such a selfish prick" feeling for him. I understand that music came first and foremost to him and that he really did love Aki--but he drug it on for too long. He enabled so many things to happen between the two of them and then at the end he still wanted to monopolize Aki. Ugetsu knew that them splitting apart would be better for the both of them all along. I'm just glad he didn't turn into a psycho and hurt Haru.

Thank you ! Some peoplefail to see Aki and Ugetsu's relationship for what it was, there was no happy ending in sight for them.
The only thing I might "disagree" with, well it's not really a disagreement, it's when you said Aki confessed to Haru quickly, something close to half a year (or more) went by between the day he realized his feelings and the day he actually confessed (and he wasn't planning to do it) I don't really find this "quick" but I can see what you meant.
that you guys don't understand--
Akihiko and Ugetsu were in a very toxic relationship. They loved each other but didn't at the same time. Ugetsu prioritized music over Akihiko and slept with random partners. Because of that Akihiko started to slowly fall out of love with music and became a gigolo 'cause he felt like it was killing two birds with one stone. It was painful for them to finally put an end to their relationship--they had been together for so many years so no matter what their relationship was it was going to hurt--but it's for the best.
Akihiko can start to focus on music and develop his love for it all over again. Ugetsu can continue to focus on music and doesn't have to feel like he's constantly tormenting Akihiko.
And the thing with Akihiko confessing to Haru so quickly makes sense if you ask me. Haru was the one who reached out a hand to Akihiko and began to pull him up out of the darkness. We had already seen that Aki can't keep his cool when it comes to Haru and that despite cutting his hair that Haru still can't get over his love for Aki. Their relationship is just as valid as Mafu's and Uecchi's. Haru needs Aki to fulfill his love for him and Aki needs Haru to support him and stay by his side.
(That and I cannot see Haru ever pulling the shit Ugetsu did. Tbh I didn't like Ugetsu at all. He acted like a spoiled brat and then walked around all high mighty just 'cause he was famous. Yeah, I get it, he's a genius bursting with emotion--but that doesn't give you the right to be shit towards someone who clearly loved you more than life itself.)
