The real MC is even worst. *Sees a man that can likes both gurls and boys* (pretty much the definition of a bisexual) the MC : he is straight and just curious.... even if in your past relationship your boyfriend went back to girls, they are probably still bi but prefer women, its not a reason to reject someone just because they are bi. Does he think if his boyfriend is gay that it means his relationship is safe forever?
There isn't an "MC" in this series. If you haven't noticed by now, we've jumped to other people's point of view quite often. It's true that there is a lot of focus on LiHuan and YuYang, because they are the hub that ties the other couples together, but in their own narritives they are their own MC. So Redhead is the MC in this part of the story with Pan.
Yuyang has dated "bisexual" boyfriends in the past that are bicurious or straight up play him. I'm pretty sure his discouragement to date Lihuan is justifiable.
Not to mention that being gay in China must be an entirely different ballgame Western readers cannot fully comprehend. It's not that deep. If you are cheated on more than once, of course you'll be discouraged about dating someone with a history of partners. Doesn't mean they will cheat. But it's a valid fear.
The thing is YuYang is rejecting LiHuan only because said guy didn’t label himself as gay. He doesn’t want to believe that LiHuan could be bisexuel even if LiHuan has been showing is affection many times. Pretty much YuYang refuses to be any man’s first, because *they are probably just doing out of curiosity*. And i think it’s quite a poor way of thinking, especially when the person thinking that is old enough go be in university.
Also it doesnt make sense for YuYang to reject LiHuan, since YuYang’s old crush was the guy from the prequel, who wasn’t gay either, and YuYang wanted to go out with him.

This is something i hate in mangas. Why does the MC always feel obligated to help everyone? ITS ALWAYS LIKE THAT.... a dude (not your friend) asks you for help, you say no, he says: thanks for the help!. Then the MC goes with him. Or of course the super cliche here, a girl goes to the MC probably to hit on him and ask to get back and can’t just tell her to go back by herself. I’m not saying everyone should be selfish, but the people asking for help in mangas are either using you(they wont help you back) or they are the antagonist...why always make MCs selfless only to add drama....
