[SPOILER] . . . . . . . . . . Sougorou gains very good praises for one of his roles for the program they are performing. He’s said to have successfully portrayed the image of an adult woman with a mature love. Apparently he performs that while thinking of Gensuke and their relationship. On the other hand, Gensuke is very stressful because of Kumajii’s comment about his acting but trying hard to hide it from Sougorou. Seeing Sougo’s success makes him even more impatient and frustrated with himself to the point that he doesn’t even look forward to see Sougorou anymore. Kumajii comes to see one of their performance and told him, harshly, that he didn’t improve at all since the last time they talked. Sougorou eavesdrops their conversation and finally sees Gensuke’s frustration. He confronts Kumajii, who tells him that he’s treating Gensuke harsher than others because his grandpa is his rival. The following day, Gensuke, feeling defeated, tells himself that he needs to perform just enough not to make mistake... of course then he skipped a line on stage. Sougorou sought him out afterwards, where Gensuke attempts to run away from him but he didn’t let him. Sougorou tells him about the reason Kumajii is bullying him, how he used to be told that his performance sucked and felt like killing himself, and asks Gensuke if he has forgotten the dream for them to be each other’s performing partner. Gensuke replies No, so Sougorou tells him to remember that and keep looking at him (not to get lost from his way). That talk calms Gensuke down and he finishes the day perfectly. End of chapter 29, the actors are talking about Kumajii coming to see their performance that day. Sougorou is watching Gensuke doing face makeup and he tells Sougo that he will be okay.
