I don't think so. Her first life would have probably been worse if she'd let the relatives stay and take control of the family. In her second life, she has all the experience she gained from her first, so she knows how to manage the family and how to avoid the relatives' traps, but if she'd let them stay in the first life, chances are the aunt's scheme would have worked and she'd have been driven away.

THANK you! I was wondering why we got a rebirth story when all she seemed to be doing was making different mistakes from (read: because of) her past life. I mean I kind of vaguely thought this was the case but the fact she doesn't (and still doesn't, btw) seem able to put two and two together kind of interfered with that idea. But it makes sense, now! She needed to learn how to manage the traps she would face in her second life by living her first life. I'm assuming that the reason she couldn't do the same as her past life in this life would be because of something like the phrase, "keep your friends close and your enemies closer"?

Exactly. In her first life she was just a nieve 16 year old trying her best to survive and take care of the family, so when the relatives conspired against her back then, she dealt with them by sending them away. And that won her the children's resentment since they didn't understand why she did it. But in this life, she's already an experienced lady (she even said that all that paperwork was now easy to her) so she knows how to deal with the relatives's schemes.
As for why she let them stay this time, I think she just wanted to make the children happy. She knew the relatives would be terrible towards her, but she couldn't have known they'd also abuse the children. It works out really well actually, because this time if she sends them away, the kids will be grateful to her.

Ohhh, this makes even MORE sense now! This explains why she doesn't put two and two together, even if she was sending the relatives away to protect the children as well as herself in her previous life, since it's quite possible that she knew that they might try to trick the children but never knew they would abuse them to this extent. I guess I didn't grasp the point, though, because there was no obvious connection I could see between how the children resented her and her sending the relatives away.
So ur telling me she could’ve avoided her first ending if she just let the relatives stay with the children....
