stop, comparing two absolutely different manhua together is very disrespectful to the creator themselves.

you know even if their intention is not to compare it is still annoying right?
who wants to hear about killing stalking in a comment section about the painter of night.
it is absolutely disrespectful to the creators! imagine making a manhua just to hear people commenting about another person's work that isnt even yours.

i just hate it when people do that.
im an artist myself and one of the things i know for sure we artists hate is when people tell us that our work reminds them of another persons work, unless we stated so otherwise.
for me honestly it makes me feel shitty, even if i have never seen or even if i am a fan of the work their mentioning. i still feel bad about it.

True, true. I'm one as well, so I understand you completely.
I just hope Author-Nim doesn't know English or that the Korean audience is not like the one here... Not good to hear as creator.
There are many sadistic Semes that manipulate Uke-Chan or the world where they evolute, yet they need to compare Seungho to Sangwoo of KS. Outside a similarity in the sound of name, these two characters aren't comparable at all. I don't see a valid reason for them to act this way aside wanting to annoy/spam the comment section for those who really like this story.
What do you do as artist?
This situation reminds me of when I was doing the story telling of my SF scenario to my male friend (since he can't hear about yaoi). He told me "Ha this reminds me of that (SF) serie...", "Your hero is like XY from...", "The tournaments remind me of gladiator's...", even though I had no idea about the series he compared my scenario to... He's my friend, so I went along, didn't want to angry him, but I suddenly felt regrets somewhere for telling him my plot.
I think he was genuine since he looked excited and happy, he gave me some interesting feedback on my work, though hearing comparisons when you did your best to create an original content is not really pleasurable... :/

(My SF scenario date from years ago already... I stipulated it to him btw), way before the apparition of these series, though it didn't impede him to compare my work to these recent series.
It's a fact that there are some common traits in every genre (SF, gore, Fantasy...), though persisting in comparing one work to another is direspectful to creators.

Y’all are overreacting. It’s not that deep. There’s nothing wrong or disrespectful with comparing 2 characters that are both psychologically unstable and prone to violence.
If readers aren’t allowed to make a simple comment like this then we shouldn’t be allowed to say ANYTHING. You guys have serious problems if a harmless comment like that makes you so angry. I wasn’t passing any judgement, saying one or the other is bad. You guys need to grow up

Yeah, you shouldn't have, guess.
Firstly already, on the simple fact that you know how irritating it becomes to hear again and again about a manwha that isn't supposed to be mentioned here (KS).
Your first statement: "Seungho is the Sangwoo of the Joseon era I guess" doesn't ressemble to your explanation of later. How do you want us to interprete this? We're not in your brain.
If you wanted us to understand what you meant, then you should've explain yourself better: "because they both are psychologically unstable and prone to violence".
But if we speak about that, there are many Semes that are a bit "sulphuric" that correspond to that description, not only Seungho. Why the need to specifically always compare him to the serial killer of KS?
Is because of their name? Seungho... Sangwoo...?

I don’t actually stalk the comment section of this site so I didn’t know before that KS was “banned” from topics here. Don’t make assumptions. And I am also a professional artist who works with many mediums, but you went ahead and assumed I wasn’t, either. You called me immature when frankly you don’t know a thing about me. Please, just calm down. I didn’t mean to offend anyone or start arguments.
Seungho is the Sangwoo of the Joseon era I guess
