Well I think he didn't know his lover was pregnant. Only finding out after his lover was dead - he just broke down
But dont worry. In the lover's (Pearl's) dreams, he heard a large dragon call him 'Mommy'. (Which was probably his baby that died with him ,)
But another dream showed two eggs being give to him. So they got twins now who look exactly like their parents!
The beginning is so sad :((
I wonder why he killed him. Even though they loved each other and he was with child.
