The novel is quite slow so there is not a lot to say, even more so because the author wants to make sure that the pshycology of the chraracters is well defined. The Prince is trying to get closer to Violette, for exemple by helping her and Maryjun studing, but she won't let him. She is more terrified of everyone having the wrong idea about their relationship and forcing her to pass more time with him. Eventually she realize that she was never in love with him, she just wanted to be accepted by others. The Prince tell her that the way she is eating sweets is cute but she is not glad of the compliment, more revulsed because it is a very improper thing to say to someone who is not your fiancé. He try to get her to help with the student concil job too like by asking what kind of tea should replace the current one (I forgot why it was needed, maybe the current one was getting harder to get?) but she does the strict minimum. She feels a bit sorry for the Prince because most of the students around him don't actually work to help him, especially the ladies, they just want to curry favor. Eventually Violette gift a pocket watch to Yulan to thank him for everything after they visited the town together. She meet with Yuran's friend and with a Princess who has trouble getting friends because she is not the typical lady (she likes snakes quite a lot among other things) and they bound thanks to their feeling of not belonging in the school and in the noble society. In the lastest chapters Violette realized that she was feeling more than friendship toward Yulan and break down while being reconforted by Marin. She is terrified that Yuran will distance himself from her if he found out that she loved him and believe that she is not worthy of his kindness.

The father is acting like usual, ignoring or belitting Violette and her efforts, by comparing their grades when they are not even in the same year for instance, saying Violette should be like Maryjun and make more effort in school's work. Maryjun is also acting like usual, completly blind to Violette's circonstances and always getting in the way, even more so when Yuran is concerned (she had a promesse to go somewhere with Yulan but Maryjun wanted her to stay with her, making their father say that Violette has to put her familly first and she don't have close friends anyway. (This sentence make Marin almost lose her mind later when, alone with Violette, she start to scream that Violette his not alone and that he doesn't know anything about her). Maryjun is trying to go with Violette and Yuran everytime they want to do something just the two of them.

Bonus story: there is a short chapter in Yuran's point of view where we see how much he cares about Violette and just how much he wants to destroy Violette's father and his happy little familly for all the tourments they put Violette through. He wants to take her far away if she let him once they have both graduated. I believe that the fact Violette is'nt trying to get the Prince attention anymore has made is resolve stronger. If she had choosen to pursue the Prince he planned to help her while wishing that she was looking his way instead, but now that she doesn't act like she is infatuated with the Prince he won't hold back for much longer..

And what i conclude is that ignorant is not a bliss.. ignorant is a crime! Especially for Maryjun.. she's very annoying
