I can't really say if my comment is COMPLETLY right as I only know that from spoilers I read a LOOOONG time ago, but basically, (SPOILERS DON'T LIKE DON'T READ!!!!!!) when Lucas comes back he uses the tree's branch to restore Claude's memories.
By then Athy is 15 so that is why I said we probably won't see him till the end of season 2, and based off of the fact we are we still early in the second season that is why from what I can tell the chances of seeing again will probably be awhile.
Like you I HATE not seeing him, （/TДT)/ his personality is humorous and interesting and I LOVE his possessiveness with Athy is so cute! I hope we can get to see him sooon, as he adds so much to this series it feels like there is something missing without him there.
