If I remember correctly, the boy died before knowing what Fushi is, and the dog was already dead when Fushi took it's form. While the others knew that Fushi was a little different, though I'm not sure about the bear... Maybe because the bear is different too?
He was some god back then so maybe he is special.
As long as this does not get axed the author will give info little by little which is actually fine since i love mystery.
Hopefully he can get his body back through the other’s memories of him or somehow kill Kai’s knocker

i meant his main appearance, the one of the boy he first took form of.
in the first chapter, the boy's soul in the ice region was shown to choose paradise so maybe that's why the first guy he transformed into is now completely lost along with the wolf.
