what is with all these korean father-daughter webtoons. i mean, i'm not complaining but, like. do the women in korea as a whole have daddy issues? or is it just the webtoonist? again, not complaining, just curious.

    I guess it's a genre on it's own already

I don't know if it's related but, one of the hottest reality show in korea, showcase how celebrity daddies take care of their kids for 48 hours without there wife's..... It's called "SUPERMAN RETURNS".....maybe they found inspiration on doing this kind of genre's.

i think it's more like the isekai trend in Japan, i guess this genre is really trending in the korean webtoon/webnovel community rn

    I think it's just a trend
Ppl are kinda bored of Romance stories focused on FL and ML
and who doesn't wanna see a cold hottie daddy pampering a sweet precious loli ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭

Tbh it's much better than the possessive handsome black haired cold duke/aristocrat trope (〜 ̄△ ̄)〜

Remember monster duchess and Leslie hot mamma and a precious loli (๑•ㅂ•)و✧

I suppose each country just have different takes on this genre:
    - Japanese tends to make "Hero or MMORPG Isekais"
    - Koreans make "European-Inspired Nobility/Royalty Isekais" (which is their middle ground with the Japanese) but adds a twist of daddy issues and cold MLs who eventually falls for MC.
    - Chinese makes "Ancient China Nobility/Royalty Isekai" which makes MC either a healer or a martial artist or both. Majority of these are about revenge.
