Lol, the cheap thing we commonly drink here has 42-50%, and yes, a glass like that taken all at once leaves you a bit drowsy and lightheaded, but not unconscious. It wasn't even full and it had ice, common.

I've never seen a person get shitfaced so quickly and with so little alcohol, no matter how strong the drink, but it seems to be a common trope in yaoi, they just drop dead drunk with one-two drinks instantly. They also pass out quite often from having the flu or some harmless shit like that.
