Is this still rape? Like, I really don't understand Hye-sung and his cold treatment is getting tiring to watch. He masturbated thinking about Dojun using a dildo soaked in alpha pheromone. Dojin caught him in the middle of the act and Hyesung was probably mortified getting caught masturbating while calling out Dojin's name. So he said no when Dojin jumped him? Did he mean it? Was Dojin too forceful? Every sex between them is turning into rape and it's.... God, I wish it was possible for bonded pairs to divorce instead - it would be very unfortunate for their dynamic to be permanently like this.

Edit: i just want to see them having an afterglow/no one crying after having sex. I just want to see them happy dammit

It’s not rape, none of their sex scenes are rape. In a lot of yaoi the uke will say no but you know they want it. It’s a common word they use you get that “no” but they’re enjoying themselves. I mean he obviously wanted Dojin, he was masturbating to him. He wasn’t mortified he was just embarrassed cause Dojin caught him in that state cause if you’ve read this yaoi he’s just always saying no to Dojin especially when he started having feelings for him. I believe he’s crying because he missed his alpha, NOT because he was forceful with him. You can tell the difference between a embarrassed uke scene to a uke getting raped scene. If these scenes are to much for you then maybe you should stop reading and go to a different yaoi cause I can tell you, this isn’t a rape scene and none of their sex scenes are rape.

This isn’t even rape. I’m assuming you’ve read this yaoi right? So you would know that the uke isn’t really open about his feelings towards his alpha right? So you should know that he’s probably crying because he’s realizing that being with his alpha feels good. Y’all just call rough sex rape these days.

Ok. I agree this isn't rape but if someone still says no during sex it's not ok.

That I can agree with, but in yaoi saying no usually means they want more. Some people get mad when the uke says no but it’s a book... like the part where the uke said he hates to admit it but it feels good. That should’ve explained that he wanted it.

that's the exact discourse men use when women acuse them of rape...they said no but actually they wanted it...we shouldn't fetishize something that is so harmful cuz this propagates the notion that "in some cases rape can be acceptable"

but i guess it's hard to talk about that on a genre that was created with "solid" rape justifications like "oh, he was in heat so the alpha couldn't control himself" "oh, it's their instincts acting"

At the beginning of this story, even though it's yaoi, there was denying there was some rape elements present. Dubcon at best, noncon at worst. But now that they're married and all, and HYESUNG LITERALLY MASTURBATED THINKING/CALLING OUT DOJIN, like... Please tell me he's crying now because he's just embarrassed he was caught being horny and not because he thinks he's gotten violated. It's tiring.

Just to be clear tho, I meant is the sex scene in the latest chapter still rape? I can figure out how to view the previous sex scenes they've had but this latest one is too ambiguous because of hyesung's reaction.

Except this isn’t rape. We’re not fetishizing rape because there is no rape here lmao. Idk how long you’ve been reading yaoi but during a sex scene the uke will say no but will also say he wants it to himself. In this case the uke was wanting the seme. In some cases the whole alpha and omega thing can turn into rape, I’ve read yaoi consisting of that topic but that doesn’t mean I condone it in real life. It’s literally no different to a book that isn’t manga consisting of a rape scene. We’re separating a book to real life. If you fetishize rape then yeah you have a problem and you need help. No one here is saying this is acceptable, because this scene didn’t consist of rape at all. I guarantee you next chapter is him admitting to Dojin That he missed him because if you’ve actually did read this yaoi you would know he isn’t open about his feelings to his seme. Learn to separate a book from real life and also learn to know what a rape scene is because this isn’t one. Also the whole point of an alpha omega yaoi in some cases is losing self control. That’s literally why they are called alphas and omegas. Maybe read something off the alpha omega topic cause this clearly isn’t for you.

I think you missed the point of what i said but let me try to be clearer...This is fiction so there are certain situations where even though the story insists that what is happening is not rape or abuse or whatever it contains the red flags of an abusive situation or rape. I've read at least a hundred completed yaoi manga and a bunch ongoing so I understand what you mean about many yaoi having this kind of scene with an uke saying no but not actually being against the sexual act. In another topic here in mangago i even answered the same, that i think hyesung is flustered or something about dojin, I understand enough of yaoi to get that. Nevertheless i don't agree we can separate fiction from reality because fiction is in some ways a portrail of some aspects of said reality, a little like a mirror if you may... so even though some people separate one from another in their consciousness like it's nothing it's got some effects in society in general. It's like a two way road in which society affect and is affected by what it's producing (be it comics, movies, books, etc). That's why I said we shouldn't treat these situations that could be interpreted as having some rape-coding (if it was happening in real life) as normal just because in its fictional world is "okay". About the alpha stuff, as I said in my second reply here it's hard having this kind of discussion because Omegaverse literally has justifications for rape so even in situations the manga says explicitly it's rape, they have some leeway for having the main characters get together. But i think my choice of word may have been a little poor with fetishize, i think i actually meant romanticize... And that IS what is being done on those mangas that have the guy who got raped being with the guy who raped him. Anyway, hope you got my point a bit better... and for your information there are some really good omegaverse manga that don't rely on this kind of ambiguous setting for relationship development so i don't think i need to go search another genre

From your words you made it seems like alpha omega yaoi just consist of rape. I never said all alpha omega yaoi has rape. In this case this mahwa doesn’t contain any rape and it’s alpha and omega. Yes, rape is something that happens in real life but I wouldn’t say alpha and omega yaoi is Romanticizing it. The whole point of alpha and omega is animal like, they go through a heat and you know the rest. In some cases they can have self control such as this mahwa. The only reason an omega will stay with an alpha that raped him is because they bonded or they’re just meant to be, but the alpha couldn’t control himself. Not saying it’s right but people in real life have more self control, they just choose to react to their sex drive. This is a book so it’s more played out. We don’t have alpha and omegas in real life so this kind of yaoi shouldn’t be compared to real life.
