Charles got Carter drunk to sexually take advantage of him. Julian likely emotionally abused Carter in their past relationship. I’d take a clingy albeit annoying Zach over a morally decrepit tease and neurotic abuser any day.

I don't like Zacc he is typical and already too clingy for my taste. Julian is a hurt asshole. Charles has air of mystery to him but I like him. I do feel like I'm not going to like his secrets he holds.
If I had to say how this story might end:
Ending : typical clingy seme ( zacc) will end up with carter.
Because a lot of fans can't handle non soft seme very well. But I feel like he won't end up with Julian rusty ass.
