PLEASE READ THE NOVEL (or don't) but yes Hue knows about foreplay. The first time literally was a whole chapter or two and goes in a LOT of detail

My guess is that they didn't want it to take so long
I truly recommend reading the novel because as beautiful the art is, they are glossing over a lot of details which might leave you with questions.
