I know. But it's still nice to have an MC that's likeable in some manner. Plus he did imply that he wanted to be a good guy. Just one working from the shadows. One that stays mysterious, and possibly do jobs the ones "in the light" can't do because of legality/status. A kind of anti-hero you could say. His actions in the last chapter aren't what a good guy would do.

Maybe I used the wrong choice of words. To some people mc may or may not be likeable. You just gotta find something else if mc isn't to your liking that's all. Its your own preference of wanting this mc to be somewhat likable where you clearly did not read the synopsis or the intro of this manga my dude but well putting aside that I clearly understand your pov and opinion of him being a douche but well what can you do? his character is what makes this manga what it is

Again with the "then go somewhere else" comment, though from a different person... It's like people can't look past their "you're either with or against us" mentality on the internet. I'm not saying I don't like the manga any more and just want to complain. I want to keep reading. I was just expressing some concerns about how self-absorbed the MC is. If it does get so bad I can't stand it of course I'll just remove the manga from my subs, but good god it's like you would force me to leave if you could, just because I don't think the MC is perfect.

We just don't agree with what you think is a "perfect" mc. We think how he is now is good enough. You act like him being self-adsorbed is hurting anyone. The fact that you dislike him just cause he doesn't feel the need to save everyone in the school shows that you're biased towards manga's with retards for mc's, so go and read those. And save them for what? Just cause they're classmates? Would they even do the same? no. So why should he save them?

This lack of interest to save other people is quite common is Korean manga and novels (Solo Leveling, omniscient reader's viewpoint, Trash of the Count's Family, etc.) I have no problems with it. Also, the MC here is also a student. I think it's unrealistic to expect one kid to fight against a gang of bloodthirsty criminals to save people. Realistically, when stuff like this happens, you tell the kids to save themselves instead of trying to be a hero.

Well realistically a highschool kid wouldn't be the head of an organization fighting the shadows from the shadows. And a highschool kid wouldn't be stronger than probably most if not all top fighters in the city.
And that's the thing, he easily has the power to save people without receiving a scratch himself.
And my problem isn't not saving people. It's why he's not saving people. "I could easily save her, but it wouldn't look cool if I did so now. I'd rather wait until it's dark." That's the kind of reasoning I find a bit iffy.

it's just a manga. the author is probably just making the story that way to catch the readers attention hoping they would at least enjoy it to a somewhat extent. I actually enjoy it cause its somewhat different from the other common tropes. If it doesn't sit well with you then thats up to your judgement. We're all free to have our own opinions after all ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭

Okay, I think that you might have lost the point of this manga. From the start he wasn't going to be a good or bad guy, he just wanted to be a mob character that did things from the shadows. Honestly his wanting to be cool and keep up with his hiding in the shadows is supposed to be silly and contrast with each other. He's just having fun. The manga plays out like his own imaginary world, so of course he's going to have flaws. Hell, half of the idiotic stuff he spews is just his imagination. He has no idea things are going according to his ramblings. So why would you expect him to act like a hero? He never intended to put his life on the line for anyone. But if you paid attention you'd notice that he has nearly died several times so that he can save people in his own way from the shadows. So while I don't think you have to like him, I do think that before you sit here and complain about his lacking as your idea of what a MC should be like, you should actually pay attention to what he was meant to be. He's not a hero or a bad guy, he's a mob character that chooses to help or not like any other person, it's just his imagination is fueling the world around him.

But my dear, that is simply how you view him. I happen to like "Heros" that are flawed, don't always do something because it's wrong or right, but because in that moment they felt like it. You have a high opinion about what a Hero should be to you, and that is fine, but you cannot complain about others defending a character because he doesn't match your ideals. I get it, he's not a "Hero" in you eyes, but he is the "Hero" of this manga. Like it or not. And I will repeat this, the character does not call himself a hero, but a mob character. In case you don't understand, mob characters don't save people, they follow the crowd and do whatever the Hero or Villan say. The ML in this manga, FROM THE VERY BEGING, was never obligated to help anyone. He makes that choice on his own. This is what makes the manga unique.
I have to say I'm liking the MC less now. His fellow students are being assaulted, many people are in danger, and the first thing he thinks about is "should I wait until night to continue?" There's a limit to how self-absorbed you can be in a situation like this...
