This story would have made more sense if every single person in that household ended up behind bars. Even the servants stood by as someone was beat and raped. They all deserve to be behind bars. The ending is sad because nothing has changed. Those two brothers are both mentally messed up. Mental illness isn't magically fixed. I think this represents Stockholm syndrome very well. But it sucks that the criminals never pay for their crimes. They are free to keep destroying people with no remorse. The two rapist friends never paid for what they did, nor did that sick family.
