If the lines around his mouth isn't around then he'll look like your normal cute uke in his 40s because the line around his eyes is still there to emphasize he is an old man. Just imagine it like that by focusing on his eyes. That did the trick for me since it can't be helped as we have no sort of connection to the author -cries in agony-
