I like Ellian too!! However, I agree with Gunchan whole heartedly. Ellian did horribly wrong, even if he had reason to. Gunchan's description of Ellian acting like a child is really spot on. Ellian does what he wants because he's hurt, but only a child hurts other for revenge; an adult would go through the motions, cope and grow stronger from it. Ellian, in contrary, is still consumed by it.
Their dynamic is actually SUPERRR intriguing to me! Someone with lost of power, but emotionally immature. And someone who seems like they have no power in comparison, but have such good grips on reality that things begin conforming to them. askajdbaldn, super excited to see what Ellian's past unveils!
I also like Ellian too. And because I like him, I want him to enjoy his life. To do that Gunchan is an important key. Ellian smiles a lot for Gunchan. He is super happy.
I think Gunchan wants him to change because he actually like Ellian and don't want him to do something bad. Don't forget that the vampire kind is like if they want they just take it without asking. Like Ellian Kidnap Gunchan (during ch 49+).
I don't think you should worry about the betrayal (but yes, I a bit worry too because Ellian might be heartbroken if that happened). Gunchan is too blunt to do something like that. When he loves, he just admit his love.
Let wait and see how they go.
He did do horrible acts BUT he's a vampire. Comparing him or holding him to human standards is just not real. I disagree with you a bit. A child actually has a better chance of growing up w/o bitterness and can let go a bit easier. They tend to heal faster and forgive as well. An adult that has already experienced tragedies or harsh circumstances over and over has a much harder road ahead. It wasn't just one experience, it was multiple. His wife was the straw that broke the camel's back.
Gun hasn't shown to be a good human being to me. He lacks emotions. He goes with what catches his attention and beneficial to him. He comes across as someone who has good grips but it's just his nonchalant way of getting what he wants. He doesn't even want to hear what Ellian truly had to say. It's not about excusing Ellian but actually trying to empathize with him. Humans are judgmental creatures by default. No one has really proven Ellian wrong in his thoughts about humans. ╮(￣▽￣)╭ I repeat people like Gun just give me the creepy crawlies. Lol
I guess we'll have to see if Gun actually cares or loves him. Gun comes across to me as someone who hasn't loved anybody but his own desires. I think Ellian likes that Gun is a bit of a detached human that is blunt and doesn't really care. Someone who can go toe to toe with. He needed a kin too. But I guess time will tell. I do hope Ellian and his son can reconcile. To me that is the relationship that needs serious mending.
As I have already spoiled myself a little (esp for this pair), I think Gunchan's love is real. He also has his own way to do that.
And yes, he is not actually a very good person to begin with (I would say I like him, but his behavior sometimes is too blunt) like the earlier chapter that he got slap by a girl from his department. But I like both Ellian and Gunchan even though they are not good guys.
I have high hope that we can see more and more of their development.
Yes, I agreed. Ellian and his son need to find some ground. Again they have time in the world so I think time (and their kins) could help. It likes they just don't (and don't try) to understand each other.
Ellian starts to feel love and understand why a low life kin mean something. But his son needs more time to understand his dad's pain.
In fact we understand it better because Gunchan ask him to tell the truth. However as mentioned in ch 93, Ellian is full of sarcasm to himself like ok, I'm a bad guy, are you happy now? And I think that's why Gunchan told him to stop. I still love the concept of wanting to listen to Ellian. I don't think there'd be many people do that, even his own son.
Oh, and by typing this I've just realized that in the recent chapters, Gunchan stop mentioning about 'for the script' like before (I kind of a bit annoyed to this attitude of his -- Ellian even bites him after hearing this LOL). For me it looks like after his speech in ch 89, he decided to start their story together (probably affect by the fact of marking sense in 85). I believe he just want to listen for both of them as they probably be together (as he said in ch 93). But Ellian still mock him about this.

No need to apologize my dear. You can talk to me when you like. =)... I have noticed Gun has stopped mentioning that as well. I just need to see development in him as much as Eli's. I believe Gun understands Eli's emotionally constipated self a bit because he is his kin and doesn't react with fear like most humans do. I think he respects Gun because he is a bit like him. Lol I really hope to see something in Gun because it's just that his type of character doesn't suit me. ^^' lol
I guess I'm alone in liking Ellian. Getting his back story things make sense. It's like I've always said to my peeps/fam. Humans are truly what's evil that lurks in the dark. We are worse than any beast, creature out there. I don't blame Ellian one bit. I also don't like the way Gunchan is putting him on a leash. I don't like his ambiguity either. He rubs me the complete wrong way. Yes, Ellian went to the extreme but he is a vampire leader that was trying to keep his kind safe, his family safe. His instincts became sharpened like his wrath. Gun better not betray him. He already is a walking target to many including his son and right hand man.
