I totally agree. I hate when authors write reincarnation stories just for the sake of it, but it doesn't actually have any bearing on the story.
Had it been excluded, this story would've been 10/10
Actually.... the reincarnation roles were meant to explain the thoughts of Philo~
I mean, like the part when she talked about the story of a novel when the heroes returns, I think it s a part that helped connecting the story and .. I think it helped her to realize her feelings for him as well.

I agree with you. Also it helped with the story, coming from Korea where everyone had dark hair. It explains why unlike everyone else she had no reason to be scared.
And in my opinion, I feel like I can understand the thoughts of a character better, when they have knowledge from the world I am in.

what a lovely little story <3 only thing is that I wish that there wasn’t any reincarnation involved. it was pointless to include it, and it wouldn’t have been that difficult to write the story without it. idk I’m a little annoyed with it but I’m willing to disregard it since it was very cute at the end
