I really want Rashta to be a completely USELESS empress, so bad that even the head over heels Sovieshu sees that she’s a bad empress, not just evil but she’s bad because she doesn’t know how anything works and just wanted the pretty throne and title of empress. I want all the citizens to get mad and dethrone her, gOD I can’t wait. Also peep the baby she left back when she was a slave, can’t wait for that to come to light! ლ(´ڡ`ლ)

> Sovieshu already realises that Rashta will not be a good Empress, it's pretty obvious considering her background as a slave.
> He wants to make Rashta a temporary Empress, but that's only because he thinks Navier is unable to have children and instead wants to legitimise the baby Rashta is carrying (which hilariously turns out isn't even his child)
> In short, his plan was to divorce Navier and promote Rashta as the Empress so that the baby would be considered a legitimate heir to the throne. After about a year, he'd remarry Navier and make her the Empress again since she's competent and knows that she's doing. Basically, he didn't expect Navier to get remarried in the time that they were divorced.
> And yes, Rashta was not a good Empress as she was not trained for this in any way. Although if I'm being completely honest, I'm not sure what happens as a result of this.
> As for Rashta's secret child, Sovieshu eventually finds out about him but doesn't want to adopt him. In fact, he doesn't even really care for his existence which I found really frustrating.
> Finally I just want to note that Sovieshu cries at one point because he misses Navier and reminisces about their past when they were growing up together ヽ(⌒▽⌒)ノ

There's a viscount who shows up at the palace amount other guests that came over for the New Years celebrations. This viscount was the owner of Rashta when she was a slave. Turns out she had something going on with the viscount's son and was apparently with him in some sort of relationship before she ran away. Her previous child as well as the one she's carrying now are the viscounts son's children.
Other than this though, we don't know much about the viscount's son. I'm not even sure if his name has been mentioned yet.
I'm gonna give my opinion on some parts of the novel so far, but it does contain spoilers. If you don't want to see any spoilers then I suggest you skip past this.
If you'd like an in-depth summary of the major events that have happened so far then be sure to let me know and I'll make another post!

The Emperor really infuriates me. He tells Navier that it's alright for her to have her own lover and at first he even encourages it, but now that he see's other men around her, he has the nerve to criticise her for it. His arguments are understandable to some degree, but his reaction to how close Navier and Prince Heinley seem to be is way out of line.
Rashta also really gets on my nerves. Something tells me there's more to her backstory. She knows exactly how to manipulate different situations and people into her favour, like when she spread those rumours about the Duchess to shift the judgment of the public onto her instead. When Rashta eventually becomes empress though, I wonder what kind of ruler she'll turn out to be. I really hope that doesn't turn out to be the case though - instead I want Sovieshu to find out about her lies and break things off with her. He's pretty head-over-heels for her though so I don't see that actually happening.
Oh and in the latest chapter (83) the Grand Duke punched the Emperor across the face for talking shit to Navier and honestly it made my whole day (⌒▽⌒)
