7 years can be a lot but doesn't have to be. At age 16, having someone 7 years younger would be age 9. That's too much of an age gap. At age 25, 7 years younger would be 18. Which is still a bit on the high side but acceptable imo. At age 30, 7 years younger is 23, and at that point I'd say it's fine. It's all about how old both are.
i cant believe everyone here has no problem with the age gap..maybe 7 years is not a lot as adults but if they have known each other since one of them was eleven it is huge and i cant imagine it happening in a non-creepy way
