You do realize they are yakuza and yakuza often have multiple mistresses right? lol That and if Rogi and Tora really did get together after Asami died then why would Rogi go out of his way in the other series to catch Tora's attention? I'm not saying Rogi isn't a piece of shit but stories about yakuza are never supposed to be all fluff and cute shit. Yakuza are c-r-i-m-i-n-a-l-s. And we all went into this one knowing that Rogi and Tora were going to be the main focus. We also knew that Tora's wife was going to meet an unfortunate end. And it's not like she really lived a pristine life either. //sighs
You would think after having so many darker themed manga like Saezuru Tori and Ike Reibun's series Kobi no Kyoujin that this fandom would be a lil' more enlightened.
Obvs I'm not an idiot, I just have my preferences and this isn't it, I already said I regret reading it, so it is what it is... Not trying to make a court case for the defense this story. Not my ISH so I'm moving on after I've had my say.
I get how some people will hate Rogi, but I am learning so much more about Rogi and how he's basically one obsessed man while Akitora is just drawn to his wildness (and of course beauty lol). Asami DESERVES BETTER SO LOOK AT HER ONLY WHEN YOU'RE TOGETHER AKITORA :<

And I agree, it's a story of bad people who do bad things. You don't expect them to be all nice and paying attention to only one person. Oyabun often end up with multiple mistresses and I suggest reading Raise wa Tanin ga ii on another amazing yakuza story. It's not BL, but it's probably one of my most favorite straight, seinin and yakuza themed story. The main hero is obsessed/insane/mad with the heroine who is 0% interested in him, he still fcks a hundred other ladies outside, but she never minded that and fully understands the life of a yakuza.
It's my perfect cup of tea, I'm twisted like that as well. lol
I intentionally avoided reading this because I really didn't care for Rogi in Yondaime Ooyamato Tatsuyuki, I hated that he thought it was no big deal to do what he did to Tatsuyuki and how in general villainous he was.
Now having read this so far I wish I had stayed away, Objectively this is a great story, but I still don't like Rogi, I think I dislike him even more because he is Fucking over Tatsuyuki's Mom in this story, and I'm really starting to hate Akitora too. Asami is a Boss Bitch, but she is frustrating me too. THAT'S YOUR MAN GIRL!!! Plus knowing she is gonna get killed off ( I Assume), it makes her like an afterthought in her Husband's life " Thanks for the 4th generation heir, now Fuck Off so I I can be with my Lover ". I know I'm gonna get some shit for this, but that's just how I feel.
I will EVENTUALLY read the remainder but I should have done like I originally intended and waiting until it's complete. So I can fulfill my curiosity
