My thoughts exactly. I have a suspicion that it's a love triangle between demon Lord and Jeffrey. And I want a juicy backstory with Jeffrey!!!
So I reread chapters 1-4 again to find some hint about the demon king but my attention diverted to Lottie's love interest ╮(￣▽￣)╭
I think it's Jeffrey honestly. He's as old as she is and has been with her for a long time. Plus, I think she never noticed his feelings because she was so busy with her disciples and work.
(I also think her disciples caught onto it but said things about Jeffrey to throw her off of finding out).
I think Jeffrey understood the importance of lottie's work which is why he didn't confess to her and was content with their current relationship. With his words of "wanting to die with her" and "only wanting it to be just the two of them" he has a high chance of snatching our wonderful lady. Maybe waiting for 100+ years will finally pay off!
