I wish that her dad is still alive too and he could have simply known they were coming for him and planned the wood doll and might have left the country or something since they have no dead body and they can't be completely sure there is even a body it could be possible ╮(￣▽￣)╭
There was no evidence, they just assumed it because of the puppet and its been a long time since the countess and her father married. There were no dead body or whatsoever, maybe her father is just being locked up or something
