Both are possessive and think that they are the good guy even tho they are basically just forcing her to be with him. If it weren't for their money they would prob be in prison or on the streets bc of their stupidity.

The only time Li lie ever used an aggressive tone with her is when she was given the deed for the villa and she would not explain her connection with Ziheng and why after all he has done to show his love for her, she would tell him that "It has nothing to do with you". So this happened in the novel a while ago and there's still a lot to go in the manhua to get there but...

So they treat Xia Ling really poorly, and when Li Lei is reunited with Old Master Li the kids in the island tricks Xia Ling, make her fall into a deep hole on the ground and throw her pig's blood. Li Lei rescue her, but she's quite traumatized. He picks her up and takes her to his place where he undress her and bathes her, but he can't resist seeing her naked (let's remember, Xe Yingling is a virgin in this timeline) so he start touching her and she refuses, so he force himself on her and rapes her. She doesn't remember this cause she was traumatized, she wakes up in pain and then gets mad at Li Lei so he rapes her again. Such a nice guy isn't it?

It makes me disappointed to see this.. They portray her getting forced to marry as an horrible thing when in a lot of manhua that is how the story starts. Ofc it is horrible but like when the female lead is forced to marry some dude and then she falls in love with him. Li Lei and Pei Ziheng are the fucking same like.. bruh.. are there any decent guys in manhua??
