I know i was trying to figure out how to word it correctly i just couldn't think of how to exsplain it well. But i thought of it because there was this story i heard about on youtube where a brother and sister had a kid but they had no idea they were siblings until the kids dna test came back. They were very shocked but since they were in love and already had a kid they stayed together.

Idk if it was his actual cousin, or just a way of referring to someone close in age that's kind of family, I thought it was more that the megane guy's family and the highschoolers family were close (family friends) so they refer to each other as cousins??

Just like in the us they gotta be your like fourth cousin meaning they would only carry about 5-25% of your genes resulting in a low chance of birth defects (that is for those who have children) but otherwise your fourth cousin is nearly almost not related to you and chances are you never meet them because they’re that distant in your blood line soooo. I don’t see an issue with it. (I only have an issue when it’s straight up like their s i b l i n g because that’s just w e i r d Alabama type stuff)
