From my response in a previous post "Well apart from this being a yaoi-tale the seme was the one that saved him 5 years ago. Also yes in realistic terms therapy is the correct course, but in fantasy-yaoi-erotic land the seme through sex tryied to disassociate his pleasure from the event and his guilds. He also try to convey that sex is tender and lovable not violent and crude. So if we go for a realistic approach we would have a manga about a boy going to the psychologist for many therapy sessions. Not a very interesting one (for a comic) and definitely not a yaoi one. Also a lot of comments try to shove realism into an impossible scenario. He WAS A SPIRIT. Even the mangaka had the seme saying when he was in his body "I am flesh now, so I cannot touch you if it will freak you out". You read so one-dimensionally. We cannot speak so casually of realism and logic in a story about a floating spirit of a commatose patient". So yes boys & girls in real life therapy is the solution, but I have no idea what if a spirit is involved, that is a game changer. Or in other words do not mix erotic fantasy with real life...

Thank you! I really try not to get involved most of the times with comments that try to explain yaoi realistically but I am weak and I get triggered some times. Many people (due to age or ethnicity or background) think that this is an actual depiction of reality and not a simple erotic fantasy. Women have erotic fantasies (well maybe everyone) much more extreme than something that they would like to actual experience (rape, love with a ghost, a millionaire to love so much that will lock me in his basement). Nice erotic material, no no no in real life. There is realistic rapes in some yaoi (most of the times not by the seme) and I really do not like them, as I do not like forced prostitution. But apart from sex it is also (since the generic target group is females) a story about loving someone much that no human or ethical law will stop them. And me poor unloved creature like to read about it. No I do not want a stalker in real life. You must really speak yaoi and translate things you read here in what it means in real life (if you wish to do so).

I’m tired of the “seperate fictions and real life” argument. When irresponsible acts like what the spirit did in this manga is accepted, readers will gradually and unconsciously regards to it as “acceptable”. Your argument only works with outrageously immoral acts (incest, cannibalism...) where there is a clear line that says “This is not good. Don’t follow it”. Even if his method of fixing PTSD with a brand new dick works, his impatience and disregard to MC’s suffering are simply cold-hearted in nature and only invite new trauma (which obviously didn’t happen because of “fiction”).

Well if we start with the assumption "reading something at a manga gradually becomes acceptable" we completely lost. So what about sexuality? Every teenage boy harbors sexual attraction for their best friend? This is not an outrageous act, so it will gradually change our view (or of teenage boys?). No I do not think so. And still you try to rationalize the acts of a spirit (!). Apart from this story of course I can find many manga that have a similar setting. No, I never thought that a lover can cure such an issue with gentle sex. The story just make the average reader happy because it has sex and a happy ending for the poor mc. Personally I hate stories that the abuse is happening "now" and not at the distant past and I avoid them. For past trauma I understand that this is a fairy tale about love changes and cures. Much more romantic than the actual "therapy changes and cures". If I want to dissect the yaoi genre every time the main couple said "I love you for ever" I would start be thinking "oh no, you do not know each other so well, maybe your feelings will change, this is not real life". I KNOW IT IS NOT. These are fairy tales. Love is not magical, there is not a soulmate out there for anyone, the handsome millionaire prefers top models and not me, sex does not last 12 hours. But I read it so that for a while I dream that love is magical, sex lasts 12 hours, someone loves me more than his life, and love can cure and solve everything

@pidapipo this is like how helicopter parents don't let their kids see or know about anything to protect them from the whole world and those kids end up easily scared and weak, while children that are actually allowed to play in the dirt or watch tv or eat fast food once in a while grow up mentally and physically stronger. I think humans are intelligent enough to seperate fictional comic books from the real world.

What? Lol please no. You are reading too far. Did I say meh stuff like this manga should be burnt for portraying an unhealthy approach to mental wellness? They exist for a reason, but the OP is trying to make excuse for their shittiness instead of just calling it trash like what it actually is.

You contradict yourself constantly. You agree that this is cheap fantasy and then you criticize it for not being scientific accurate and elaborating on correct procedures concerning a psychological trauma. It's like ordering a 3$ burger from McDonald's and complaining that this is not black Angus meat or freshly baked traditional bread. We know, it's freaking McDonald's! Most people know the difference between McDonald's food and a homemade food or the food of a good restaurant. But ok we want to eat a big Mac from time to time, no harm done. And it is annoying to sit next to me and analyze "ok this is cheap with minimal nutrition value". OMG really!?

I can accept that McDonald exists for a reason and still say it’s cheap stuff that is mostly harmful for you. Duh. I have my right to say that. You are complaining that people say bad things about McDonald even when you know it’s bad yourself.
