If she was just a sacrifice he could have made her the sons maid so she'd be loyal or just lock her up and he gallantly rescues her
You might be right about protecting her(remember that is not the time for sacrificing her) but he still thinks of her as a human sacrifice and that does make me sad and angry at the same time. To be honest I do think the little prince has the heart that he's father lacks. Although, I do hope that he starts seeing her as a human being or even his daughter and not just a human sacrifice for his son's life. Of course that is my personal opinion ╮(￣▽￣)╭
