I disagree based on my preferences for smart characters. The omnipresent truck san is just an overused expression, but it means that the character died due to an accident or fate, not overwhelming stupidity. This time MC girl jumped for a manga she coud literally just buy from the bookstore again.

that's true she could always just buy it again. But i also think that it's a reaction we all have like if i drop my phone, yea i could buy it again but my reaction will be to reach for it or jump for it. of course a phone is more expensive than a book but I would have the same reaction if something like a fruit or a pen fell...i would try and catch it without thinking about its monetary value. ╮(￣▽￣)╭
