I agree with you. I get it is for comedic effect but it's getting really frustrating how everyone treats Al, and honnestly it's getting less and less funny.
（￣へ￣）I know it's not gonna happen but I hope that when Al gets older he'll actually get to do things he wants. Like ... he won't have to do swordmanship lessons (since he doesn't want to become one) instead he will be able to study and experiment magic or/and will be allowed in the kitchen to make food ... stuff like that ...
And finally ... finally he'll be able to say NO to his family members that want to force him into things he dislikes.

Yes yes and yes, this is exactly how I feel
That every chapter where the sister doesn't appear is a miracle and a breeze. But if she does appear, she makes us all pissed. I love it that were hating on this annoying brat together.
Edit: So I just binged read this and this is from what I observed.
Alfried: Powerful with magic powers that can control all kinds of elements. But still doesn't use it to use it for a little revenge to her sister. (I don't get why he isn't using his full potential) A sweet and carefree kid. He should tell his father that he doesn't want to fight!
Bratty elder sis: Annoying as hell. Selfish. No common sense(Guess she wasn't born with it). I like she is a strong willed girl but constantly bullying and hitting Al for no reason is just really pissing me off. Stupid as hell who only knows how to weild a sword.
Elder Brother: Kind and smart I guess. I don't really have much to say but I guess I'm kinda happy he sometimes helps Al when he really needs it.
Mother: Yeah I'm gonna say it. She annoys me for some reason. Yeah, she is a kind mom but sometimes she tends to tease Al like the rest.
Father: At first I thought he would be a good father, but just cuz of that stupid Dragon slayer name, he gets angry and "disciplines" (aka beat the crap out of) Al. My god, don't get me started how he takes it out on his YOUNGEST son for such a SMALL thing and gets pissed about it. And as his father, he should be able to tell, judging from how Al practices, that his son doesn't even want to fight. Only his shemale daughter would gladly spar with you.
Maids: Do they even do work at the mansion? Like everytime Al the the chef comes up with something, they would always, aaalways take the items they were saving. Not even a god damn thank you to them and both AL and the chef get PUNISHED?! Like let the child have some fun for himself and let him enjoy his own creation for goodness sake.
