I agree I don’t think it’s healthy. A lot of his actions show that he is still immature(like in a kid way) and hasn’t learned how to handle emotions like jealousy and Ik she tried teaching him that before but it was stopped bc of the curse and she also thought it was just a tantrum. She doesn’t even see that he is trying to control her. I feel it will honestly hurt her as a maid bc the Butler is already upset about how close they are and might just make her leave.
Yeah, as dense as she seems, your comment made me realize if they got together now, it would be totally abusive. The only reason she lets him get away with this much is because he's a kid learning how to control his emotions.
Him having to grow up for a few years both figuratively and literally before she can see him as a man is probably for the best.
OK, I totally agree with him being too possessive... But the age gap shouldn't be jarring at all, after all 4 years isn't a huge gap, for god's sake my parents have a 10 year gap between them. But maybe because of where you come from the cultures could be different to mine which therefore makes 4 years seem like a big gap? The only thing i'd probably say is jarring though is the fact that Alejandro is only 14. ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭
Well, it doesn't really help that a. Boys mature shower than girls, and b. He's never really been in a social environment because of his illness, and c. He's starting puberty and that's a whole big hoopla by itself. I do like age gap romance where the guy is younger, but the circumstances given do require him to mature more. Kinda reminds me of The World is still Beautiful. Where the guy is much younger and teeters between being mature and unmature because he had to grown up in a world where people were trying to kill him.

He had the appearance and attitude of a child for so long, and he's been growing very quickly...its a weird transition. I can 100% understand why Ibby doesnt see him as a man. The change was too sudden and he still acts quite immature.
I know that this will end with a romance between the two...but honestly in the real world their relationship would be super unhealthy. She was the first one to treat him like a person, she acted like a mother/older sister figure (even if he never saw her as either). He's far too much dependent on her and possessive...like a child. And now he's 14 and she's 18. Even though he's grown a lot and is now taller and bigger than her....the age is rly jarring. So I'm hoping Alejandro grows as a person and isn't so reliant on Ibby b4 anything happens....and pls can they both be adults then too? Even so she did basically raise him for a short period....sigh
