honesty have only found decent yaoi chinese manga. all the straight ones are stupidly dramatic. the only thing they have is good art but that’s about it
Saaaaaaame. Idk wtf is up with that considering all my chinese friends are super normal as far as human rights and all that stuff but in the stories everything is so overly dramatic, sexist, the power imbalances are always HUGE and whenever anyone gets a taste of power (villain or hero) it's always manifested in violence/revenge against someone else. Like the poor girl who used to be slapped around is now rich and powerful and slaps others because since shes powerful it's now totally justified!! The male lead who always treated her like complete shit is now at his knees for her!! The end!!
Chinese romance comics are seriously so fucked up... Like I read one where the FL got raped by a vampire while she was passed out and after a few years they fall in love with no grudges??? And another one where the FL DRUGGED the ML for sex right at the beginning of the story and they fall in love later.
Like wth are these settings???? Are they into that kind of stuff???
